Artist Spotlight: Ana Tijoux

itunes free single of the week is a song titled 1997 by Ana Tijoux. It's a underground older dj kinda rap. She's got great flow, the beats great, and I can't say anything about the lyrics cause it's completely in spanish, and I only speak very basic Spanish, but her voice is so hypnotizing and the beats so good I still love the song, even though I'm normally a very lyrical kinda person. Wooo Almost Done!

I am Almost done with the recording and editing of the first "single" from my iLLusions Mixtape. It's a remix of Airplanes featuring the lead singer of Catching Bluffs. She's an amazing singer and I'm glad she lent her voice to the making of the song. I rap over B.o.B's verses with my own custom lyrics. All that's left is re-recording one or two bars, then the background vocals. (Hopefully) then I can convince her to make a music video for the song before she moves to California ( D: )

Basically I just took the 3 "All I Do is Win" songs, the original, the official remix and the Hood Remix and put em together. Nothing special, I just mixed the ending/beginnings to have it mix. This is the quick and lazy version. I do plan on re-re-re-remixing with more complex combinations and extra verses from other artists, people in thought being Eminem, Drake, Lil Wayne, T.I., Jay-Z, ect.

While I was looking through my iTunes library looking for more people that I might add to the song, my cousin jokingly said to add Katy Perry...so don't be surprised if I end doing a Pop Remix as well... maybe with people like Katy, Britney, Gwen, B.E.P., ect.
